Save a Life Saturday Offers Great Companions and Free Food

The event will take place at Manatee County Animal Services in Palmetto, but discounts apply at the downtown adoption center too.

The height of summer is typically a time when pet adoptions slow down as families travel on vacation, so Manatee County Animal Services is offering aNo Kill Challenge on Saturday.

"Save A Life Saturday" runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Palmetto shelter, 305 25th Street W. The event features $35 adoptions and free food from the Zirkelbach Grill Team.

While the event takes place in Palmetto, the downtown adoption center will offer the same adoption discounts and some dogs and cats will be able for just the $10 license fee.
