TS Isaac Closes Schools, Government Offices and More

Manatee County Government and the City of Bradenton have announced they plan to close their offices on Monday as Tropical Storm Isaac passes along Florida's Gulf Coastline.

The following government offices will be closed on Monday: Manatee County Government, City of Palmetto, City of Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, Manatee County Clerk of Court and the Manatee County Court System.

City garbage collection will be suspended for Monday and will resume Tuesday, weather permitting.  Select Public Works and Utilities staff will be available Monday at 941-708-6300. Garbage collection in the county has also been suspended on Monday.

Port Manatee is operating under “Condition Zulu” which means it will remain open but is closed to boat traffic.  Port administration offices will also be closed on Monday.

All MCAT buses including regular routes, the Island Trolley and handy-bus (Paratransit) will cease operations at 6pm today.

Manatee County Schools will be closed. St. Stephens Episcopal School and Bradenton Christian School havel also announced that they will be closed.

Bay Pines VA Healthcare System emergency management officials have announced that Bradenton's Community Based outpatient clinic will be closed Monday.

Manatee Glens outpatients locations and programs will be closed to staff and clients.  Staff are requested to initiate phone trees to alert their department staff and contact clients to cancel appointments immediately.  They should call 941-782-4200, Option 3.

Staff at Manatee Glens Hospital and Addiction Center campus (except Children's Day Programs) should report to their scheduled shift as usual on Monday. 

All Manatee Glens locations will open Tuesday August 28  at normal hours.
