PHOTOS: Great Gulf Redfish Caught Off Anna Maria Island

This monster trophy fish was carefully released to fight another day!

Capt. Larry McGuire uploaded fishing photos to Pics & Clips to share with Patch readers.

MiJoung Deregge and Jennifer Peterson, both from St. Petersburg, pose with a monster Gulf Redfish that Peterson caught using a sardine in 50 feet of water offshore of Anna Maria Island.

The big red was so heavy Deregge helped to hold it for the photo.

"We carefully released the trophy to fight another day," McGuire said. The party also caught big grouper, snapper and seabass fishing with Capt. Larry McGuire Show Me The Fish Charters, which operates out of the beautiful Bradenton Beach Marina.
