What's Open, What's Closed on Fourth of July Weekend in Bradenton

Important information on holiday closings in Bradenton and Manatee County this July 4.

A look at what's opened and closed around Bradenton and Manatee County for this Fourth of July weekend:

GOVERNMENT

All city and county offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. City Hall will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Monday.

POST OFFICE

There is no mail delivery by the U.S. Postal Service on Thursday. Post offices are closed.

TRASH PICKUP

For city residents: Household garbage and recycling will not be collected on Thursday. It will be picked up on Saturday, July 6, instead. There will be no interruption in yard waste collection.

For residents in unincorporated Manatee: Trash, recycling and yard waste collections for the week will be postponed one day from Thursday through Saturday.


PARKS AND BEACHES

County parks and beaches will be open to the public.

Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will be open.

G.T. Bray Recreation Center and G.T. Bray Skate Park will be closed. 

Manatee County’s publicly owned natural preserves will remain open.

LIBRARIES

Manatee County’s public libraries will be closed.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Only the Trolley and Beach Express service will operate Thursday. Fixed route, para-transit service and Longboat Key Trolley service will resume Friday, July 5.
