Two Sought in Strong-Arm Robbery

A homeless man told deputies he was robbed of several items and beaten by two unknown men while he was trying to sleep.

Authorities are searching for two white males they say beat and robbed a homeless man, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim said he was sleeping behind Books-A-Million, 4225 14th Street West, Bradenton, when he was awakened around 1:30 a.m. by the men who had begun beating him, according to the report.

He told MCSO deputies that they took his wallet, government issued phone and his bike, the report said.

He reportedly walled to his stepmother’s home and called 911 around 10:50 a.m., the report states.

The victim was transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital for his injuries, which included a cut knee, a bump on the side of his head and neck pain.
