The following is a press release issued by the Manatee County Sheriff's Office:
At approximately 10:00 [Tuesday] morning, deputies responded to a shooting with injuries which occurred in the 5200 block of 73rd Lane East, Bradenton.
According to the victim, Lens Toussaint, 22, he was shot in the ankle by an unknown subject. Toussaint told deputies the subject was a passenger in his vehicle and they were negotiating a drug deal when Toussaint was shot.
Toussaint was transported to the hospital for treatment. The shooter has not been identified as the investigation continues.
