Men Robbed At Gunpoint While Changing Flat Tire

Three suspects in a black Honda Accord robbed two men Saturday on 21st Way East.

It's bad enough to have to change a flat tire in the middle of the night, but it's even worse when someone is robbed at gunpoint while doing it.

Two men found that out at 1:30 a.m. Saturday when they stopped on the 5000-block of 21st Way East in Bradenton to change their flat tire, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

While changing the tire, three suspects approached them in a black Honda Accord and robbed them of undisclosed items before fleeing in the Accord, according to the sheriff's office.

One suspect is described as a black male with long dread locks armed with a black handgun and another suspect was a black male wearing a camouflage jacket armed with a SKS assault rifle, according to the sheriff's office. The third suspect, the driver, didn't appear to be armed with a gun.

What about the description of the driver? There can't be that many black Honda Accords in the area ... find them!

I can't believe it...this makes twice in one week that I have read crime reports on Bradenton Patch and they actually HAD descriptions of the suspects! I had almost lost hope of any journalistic integrity in this news source and was about to take it off my bookmark list, but they might just stay on a while longer now. Now let's just hope old Sheriff Stube and his crew can figure out "whodunnit" and be able to catch them. Of course, even if they do our pathetic criminal justice system will only slap them on the wrist anyhow. Clearly they are not effective or our crime rate would not be skyrocketing like it is.
