A 19-year-old Bradenton man was shot after a house party was broken up just after midnight Sunday.
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the suspect then led deputies on a chase for eight blocks before being arrested without incident.
The suspect's name has not been released. The victim, Hubert Moscoso, was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Units were called multiple times in reference to loud noise complaints coming from a large house party in the 6200 block 12th Street Court East. After authorities broke up the party, witnesses say that a group of patrons at the party got into a heated argument and then multiple shots were fired, possibly from two guns.
According to the sheriff's office, people began running from the shots and as Moscoso was fleeing he was struck once in the upper right hip area.
Witnesses state that the shooter got into a white Crown Victoria last seen heading north on 12th street east. Units quickly located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. An eight-block pursuit was initiated, only reaching moderate speeds, culminating with the suspects stopping and being taken into custody, authorities said.
