Raspberry Ketones and green coffee bean living

I admitted to being pudgy recently...my job is making me tip the scales. so, I took note of the countless claims by Dr. Oz that raspberry ketones and green coffee bean extract are the key.

So, when I sat down to dinner last week at Selva  Grill and Tracy Freeman from Edible Sarasota pulled out our stash, we chuckled  at the pill bottles on our table-

Note you MUST be organized and take a 1/2 hour before meal with lots of water. It does work a bit, I have lost 3 lbs of water weight and just enough to psyche me into the pattern of eating  with a little more responsibility of what I consume- sans my daily job of creating recipes, reviewing restaurants and hosting media  dinners.

Here is how I am doing--
I am drinking more water and Vitamin C emergency packs (thanks to advice from Mary AT lasting looks.
I am eating at Philippi Creek Oyster Bar more- no fried food on my plate, the Creek has fresh grilled seafood and a side of grilled asparagus and coleslaw...this is the ticket!
I have promised to eat a burger only once a month but do grill a turkey burger without bread the other weeks. Veg has a great veggie burger but they are huge so maybe half at one time.

If the bread isn't to die for I pass- so that means I need to know if I am dining at Made in Italy in Venice, I am going to be eating  lot of bread.

I am increasing my avocado  consumption with new salads (see www.mysuncoast.com  for new recipes) and have ordered  quinoa fried rice at Darwin's and PF Chang's , (new summer menu)

AT Fleming's prime steakhouse I am ordering the Carpaccio and a small plate order of grilled shrimp, although I do love a good bone in rib eye every now and again.

I tried ordering whole what pasta recently but forget about it...I am going to eat white pasta twice a month so there!!!
If you want some healthy dining tips you can also tune in to 1220am on Friday's as I join health expert Heidi Godman on her radio show.

So dear readers, I really am trying and please do remember the TV does add 15 pounds!
