AUGUST - VILLAGE OF THE ARTS - ‘BACK TO SCHOOL” ART WALK CELEBRATION

This year for the August Art Walk, which is the Friday, the 1st (6:00PM to 9:30PM) and Saturday, the 2nd (11:00AM –4:00PM) of the month, The Village of the Arts is going all out helping our local elementary schools get off to a good start. We are asking the residents of the village, business owners, and the community, who are able, to contribute school supplies during the month of August. The school supplies will be going to help our local elementary schools, Ballard and Rogers Gardens. 


Because of the
efforts, compassion and caring of the teachers in our community, our students
at Ballard and Rogers Garden are better prepared to succeed. After years of cuts to the schools budgets, parents are forever being pressed to provide more supplies, support and money each year for their children’s education. Many teachers, also, dip into their pockets, to provide supplies for their classes.


Items most needed are: white glue, glue sticks, crayons –boxes of 24, washable markers, pencils #2, pink pearl erasers, blunt tip scissors,tissues, and wide ruled paper. 
You may drop off your donations at the following participating galleries, Arts and Eats, Village Mystic  or 12th Street West Gallery. We will be accepting donations for the entire month.
