Three suspects sought in Bradenton Home Invasion

Three male suspects allegedly held a man a gunpoint and robbed him in his home on Riverview Boulevard early Thursday morning.

Authorities are searching for three suspects in connection with a home invasion that occurred on the 6000 block of Riverview Boulevard early Thursday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

MCSO is looking for Kevin Duffy, 30, described as a white male, a Hispanic male who goes by the name “Teddy” and an unknown male with blond hair in connection with the incident.

The victim told authorities he answered a knock on the side door of his home around 5:30 a.m. and was greeted by Duffy, who pointed a gun at him. Duffy held the gun to him while to other suspect’s retrieved two flat screen televisions and a laptop computer from the home, the report states. The suspects then fled out the side door.

Randy Warren, spokesperson for the MCSO, said there is currently no indication the victims knew the suspects at this time, however the investigation remains open. Warren said incidents such as this one are rare in the area, which is not considered a “high crime” region.

“There could be a reason they were targeting the victim but it’s hard to speculate right now,” he said.

The incident wasn’t reported to law enforcement until 11:15 a.m. when the victim’s father found out what had happened. The father also discovered that two handguns were missing from his vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the home at the time of the invasion.

No arrests had been made as of late Thursday afternoon, according to Warren.
