The renovations are part of a master plan to renovate many areas of the airport. Over the past two years, SRQ Airport has installed new escalators, renovated all the restrooms, replaced the chillers and HVAC systems, updated information technology infrastructure, updated the baggage screening system, resealed most of the building exterior and replaced the roof and skylights.

The remaining terminal renovations, which include the second level concourse, third level office facilities and baggage claim, will be completed over the next two to three years.
