Writer for Smash and In Treatment To Conduct Film Conversation

Jacquelyn Reingold is set to come to the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus.

Jacquelyn Reingold, a well-known writer for theatre, television and film who recently wrote for the NBC show SMASH and HBO’s Peabody Award winning IN TREATMENT, will come to the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee to conduct a converstion about film.

The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in partnership with the Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office are bringing Reingold to the Selby Auditorium for this special film conversation on Jan. 8.

In addition to her hit series, Reingold has taught writing at New York University, Columbia University, Ohio University, Fordham University, Goddard College, the Stony Brook-Southampton Writers Conference, and Oberlin College.

“It is exciting that we live in such an arts-rich community,” said Dr. Terry Osborn, dean of the College of Education at USF Sarasota-Manatee. “I think it is very fitting that the Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office is holding its mixer on our campus. We are embracing the arts and the power of the creativity in this community.”

The special networking event will be held in the Selby Auditorium on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus Jan. 8 at 5:50 p.m. The mixer will include hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available to those attending.

Those interested can register now until Jan. 6, or can purchase tickets at the door on the night of the event for $12.
