I Love Sarasota Bay Photo Contest Winners

A dozen local residents were honored with custom ribbons at the Sarasota Bay Water Festival Saturday as part of the I Love Sarasota Bay Photo Contest. First place ribbons in the four age divisions were awarded to Terry Frankford, Sally Twinem, Logan McLeod, and Emma Griffith. The winners also received gift certificates from Whole Foods Market.

Terry Frankford and Emma Griffith also won second place ribbons in their respective age divisions. Contest participants could enter one or two submissions. The other second place winners were Francis Twinem and Caroline Griffith. The third place winners were Michael Oelschlager and Judy Sargent. Honorable mention ribbons were awarded to Karl Ford, Larry George, Judith Horn, and Greg Penkwitz. Terry Frankford, Caroline Griffith and Larry George also won ribbons in 2012 at the inaugural Water Festival.

More than 90 organizations from the public and private sector participated to promote water and outdoor recreation, creative arts, the protection of wildlife, environmental education, and bay-friendly living.
