Sarasota, Florida – June 4, 2013 – Autumn Senior Living, the Gulf Coast’s premier senior living developer, announces the groundbreaking ceremony for its new senior living campus at 3251 Proctor Road in Sarasota. The special breakfast and mimosa toast event will be held on site on Thursday, June 20 from 9:00am – 10:00am to introduce the arrival of Autumn of Sarasota and celebrate the beginning of construction.

The state-of-the-art community will incorporate two phases of construction. Autumn estimates the cost of the two-phase project at over $65 million. Phase I includes plans for 80 residences dedicated to providing a safe, caring home for those with memory care needs. Designed in cooperation with the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute, a leader in dementia research and care, Phase I will feature a host of custom services, amazing amenities and fun activities to help individuals and families through each stage of memory loss.

Phase II, to be completed in 2015, will expand the campus to an additional 220 I-Lite residences. I-Lite is Autumn’s innovative concept of blending assisted living services with the comfort of independence. I-Lite residents can keep the lifestyles they enjoyed before moving into Autumn while having services brought to them.

When fully operational, Autumn of Sarasota will create 200 to 250 professional jobs for medical care providers, nurses, administrators and physical therapy specialists. “We are thrilled to begin breaking ground for Autumn of Sarasota in such a wonderful, vibrant community,” said Jim Soper, CEO of Autumn. “As we progress with the construction of our two phases, we look forward to doing our part to help boost the local economy by adding jobs and generating business opportunities, all while providing world-class support and care for those in need.”

Construction work for Autumn of Sarasota will commence directly following the groundbreaking ceremony and celebration. Completion of Phase I is scheduled to take place in the second quarter of 2014.
