The Florida Highway Patrol reported that she stepped into the path of an oncoming car.
A Bradenton woman has died from her injuries, after walking into the path of an oncoming car on US 41 Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The accident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Dianna Pace, 44, was trying to cross US 41, near 23rd Street East, according to the FHP. Pace walked into the path of a Chevrolet driven by Daniel C. Miller, 58, of Palmetto. No charges have been filed.

A 42-year-old Palmetto man was killed Friday when he was hit by a car while trying to cross 17th Street East, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. According to the FHP report: Martin Ochoa-Hernandez, 42, was on the south shoulder of 17th Street East attempting to cross the street from south to north just after 6:15 p.m. A red Mitsubishi Galant being driven by Simone A. Anderson, 21, was traveling East on 17th Street East in the left lane approaching the pedestrian. Anderson, of Ellenton, attempted an evasive maneuver to the left to avoid hitting Ochoa-Hernandez. Anderson's front right hit his left side. Ochoa-Hernandez landed face down on 17th Street East facing southeast.

A 52-year-old Sarasota man was killed along U.S. 41 early this morning when a vehicle struck the pedestrian and drove away leaving him in the middle of the road. A second car did not see the person in the road and also struck him. According to the Florida Highway Patrol: The pedestrian, whose name is being withheld until his next of kin can be notified, was walking in a southbound direction on the east shoulder of US 41 near 89th Street East in Palmetto. An unknown vehicle was traveling north in the outside lane of US 41 when the front of the vehicle hit the pedestrian. The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help as it investigates a crash that left a 38-year-old pedestrian dead. The fatal crash took place on Oct. 20 at the intersection of US 301 and 30th Avenue East just after 9 p.m. The crash involved a dark blue four door Cadillac versus a pedestrian. Lowsandra D. Seabrooks of Bradenton was killed after she was hit by the Cadillac while crossing U.S. 301, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Seabrooks was heading east across U.S. 301 at 30th Avenue East when she walked into the path of the 1989 Fleetwood Cadillac. A 41 year-old Venice woman was killed by a hit and run driver in South Manatee County while crossing U.S. 41. Erika Leigh Fortner was taken to Blake Medical Center where she died Tuesday afternoon. Fortner was crossing the street from east to west when what is believed to have been a maroon-colored car, possible a hatchback, heading into Sarasota struck her shortly after midnight Tuesday morning. The car left the scene heading nother but the driver's side rearview mirror was found at the scene. Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are asking that anyone who witnessed the crash or who might have information about the car or driver to please contact FHP at 239-938-1800 and leave a message for Trooper Barbara Ehrhart.

A 38-year-old Bradenton woman was killed Saturday night after she was hit by a Cadillac while crossing U.S. 301 shortly after 9 p.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Lowsandra D. Seabrooks was heading east across U.S. 301 at 30th Avenue East when she walked into the patch of the 1989 Fleetwood Cadillac being driven by Brian Brownsell, 60, of South Pasedena, Fl. The right front of the car hit Seabrooks who died at the scene, according to the FHP report. Seabrooks was not inside the crosswalk when she was hit, according to the report.

A 52-year-old Bradenton woman was killed in a hit and run accident shortly before 6:30 this morning and troopers are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of the sedan who hit her. Teresa L. Kidd was crossing the southbound lane on 15th Street East when a dark colored sedan struck her and left the scene, accoding to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol. According to the report: The sedan was traveling south on 15th Street East approaching the intersection of Magellan Drive. Kidd was standing on the west shoulder of 15th St E at a driveway access to 6630 15th St. East. Kidd apparently didn't see the sedan and tried to cross the southbound lane. The sedan hit Kidd and was last seen traveling sounth on 15th Street East. …

The woman walked in front of a car on U.S, 301 near Ellenton Gillette Road.
A 70-year-old Woman was killed late last night after she walked in front of a Ford Expedition travelling down U.S. 301. Alice Overton, of Palmetto, was pronounced dead at Blake Memorial Hospital shortly before midnight, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Overton stepped out on to the road in front of Dwayne Hampton, 52, who was driving a 2001 Ford Epedition east on 301 and approaching a steady green traffic signal at the intersection of Ellenton Gillette Road. Overton was crossing U.S. 301 within the intersection from north to south and was struck on the right side. Hampton stopped and waited for emergency assistance. Overton was taken to Blake Medical Center by Manatee County Emergency Services.

A 23-year-old woman was moving her car in a driveway when she hit her four-year-old daughter today and pinned her body against a fence, killing her, according to report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Daisy Martinez, 4, had been playing in the yard of her family's home, in the 2500 block of 38th Avenue East, when the accident happened in the driveway. Gracie Moreno, the girl's mother, was moving her 1992 Lexus ES300 around the circular driveway when she hit the child. The accident happened after noon today. Daisy was taken by ambulance to Blake Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Sam Casimir, a neighbor, heard the mother cry: "Help, help my baby," according to an interview with Bay News 9. The 55-year-old Bradenton man walked in front of a pick-up towing a trailer.
A 55-year-old Bradenton man was killed this morning while crossing Cortez Road in traffic, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Daniel Dietz Elliott died just after 9:30 a.m. after he was struck by a pick-up truck towing a trailer. David R. Smith was driving his Toyota Tundra pick-up west on Cortez Road in the left lane when Elliott ran across the road and into the path of Smith's truck, according to the FHP report. Smith swerved to avoid Elliot but the right fender of his trailer struck Elliott who was pronounced dead at the scene.
