Kangaroo Does Well Through Surgery and Laser Treatments
Poppy is a "feisty girl," but needs 24/7 care and enticement to eat. A fund has been set up for her care.
Majical Minatures Animal Education & Care Center is working to rehabilitate a kangaroo that came to their sanctuary last month for foot surgery. The one-year-old kangaroo, Poppy, arrived in need of foot surgery and long-term care after spending her early life in a cage that was so small she didn't have enough room to grow properly. She had never been able to run and let her tendons and ligaments learn to stretch fully, according to Majical Minatures Animal Education & Care Center. Now a week after surgery, Poppy is hanging in there, even though she has had little appetite and needs good nutrition for her recovery.
