Bradenton Man Wanted in Citrus County Shooting Death

Gregory Scott Holub, 29, is believed to be armed and dangerous, according to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office.

Updated, 4:20 p.m.: The woman killed in Sunday morning's shooting has been identified as Deseray Lynn Bowles, 24, of Inverness, authorities said. 15-Year-Old Charged With Murder in New Year's Day Shooting

The shooting is believed to be drug related.

A 15-year-old is the second person who has been arrested in connection with the year's first homicide. Manatee County's homicide unit arrested a second person in connection with the killing of a 19-year-old in the parking lot of a gas station, the first murder of the year. According to a Manatee County Sheriff's report: Jimmy Rivers, 15, was charged with murder on Friday after he turned himself in to authorities in connection with the shooting death of Paul Grieco in the parking lot of a gast station. Grieco, 19, was killed on January 1. The State Attorney's Office will decide whether Rivers will be charged as an adult, said Dave Bristow, a spokeman for the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. First Homicide of 2013 Appears to be Drug Related

The shooting is being investigated by the newly formed Manatee County Homicide unit.

One man was killed and another man critically injured in a shooting this morning at a gas station on Manatee Avenue East and detectives are asking for help in solving this case quickly. Detectives say they believe the first homicide of the new year was a drug-related shooting. According to a Manatee County Sheriff's report: Three men went to the Marathon gas station at 1832 Manatee Ave. E. shortly before 2 a.m. to pick up some items. Witnesses told detective that three other men met them at the gas station and fired shots at the first group. Detectives are withholding the victims' names. One man died from his gun-shot wound after being transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital. A second victim was taken to Blake Hospital where he is listed …

State Attorney's Office Finds Deputy Justified in Deadly Shooting Case

The deputy who shot and killed a get-away driver was in fear of death or serious physical harm when he shot his weapon, according to the state attorney's findings.

The State Attorney's Office has ruled that a deputy who recently shot and killed a woman as she tried to escape during a burglary was justified in the use of deadly force, according to findings released by the sheriff's office. Deputy Aaron Bradley shot and killed a get-away driver on July 18 as the woman was trying to escape from a burglary in the 900 block of 66th Avenue West. Deputies said that Joanna Mojica, 26, and her boyfriend, Jesse Flores, 26, had just burglarized the house and had a car full of stolen goods when they tried to escape by driving the car at the deputy. Burglary Suspect Charged With Murder, After Deputy Kills Getaway Driver

The 26-year-old woman drove a getaway vehicle toward officers, when she was shot by one of the deputies, authorities said.

A 26-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night after being shot by deputies as she tried to drive away from the scene of a crime. Her suspected partner in the crime has been charged with her murder. Joanna Ann Mojica, 26, was pronounced dead Wednesday night at Blake Hospital. Jesse Flores, 26, was arrested at the scene and charged with felony murder, two counts of attempted murder and burglary. Deputies were called out at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night to a burglary in progress in the 900 block of 66th Avenue West. As deputies were approaching the residence, Mojica and Flores tried to escape in a vehicle parked in the driveway. Bradenton Man Dead in Deputy-Involved Shooting

Man in Jeep accelerated toward Sarasota sheriff's deputy prompting two deputies to open fire.

Updated 12:00 p.m. June 12 A 23-year-old Bradenton man is dead after being shot by a Sarasota County Sheriff's deputy Monday when he attempted to run over two deputies. A passenger in the Jeep remains at large. Rodney G. Mitchell of  4910 26th Street East, Apt. 102, Bradenton, was pulled over in a white Jeep Liberty for a traffic stop by Deputy Adam Shaw, 23, at 9:32 p.m. at 28th Street and Washington Boulevard, according to the sheriff's office. Man Shot to Death at DaVinci's

This is the second time this year someone was killed following an altercation at the nightclub.

A 32-year-old man was shot to death in the parking lot of DaVinci's nightclub this morning. Deputies were called out to DaVinci's, a topless nightclub, after bystanders called 9-1-1. Natividad Faudoa, who was shot in the parking lot, was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Witnesses said that Faudoa was in an altercation inside the club with another patron, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. Both men left the club and were in the parking lot when Faudoa was shot. This is the second fatal shooting  in less than a month that followed an altercation at DaVinci's.
