Florida Man Charged For Grand Cattle Theft

Daniel L. May, 27 of Myakka City, faces seven counts of dealing in stolen property for taking cows owned by a Lakeland man.

Manatee County Sheriff's Office received a different cow tip call then what they were used to, leading to charging a Myakka City man for stealing cattle. The sheriff's office on Wednesday arrested and charged Daniel May, 27 of 44300 SR64 E. Myakka City, with grand theft, and Polk County  law enforcement are charging May with seven counts of dealing in stolen property, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office received a tip in October about a possible cattle theft, when 70-year-old David Turner of Lakeland reported that he was missing cows from his Duette Road ranch in Myakka City that had turned missing since January 2012, according to the sheriff's office report. Woman Accidentally Shoots Fiance at Gun Range, When Hot Casing Falls in Her Shirt

Investigators said the woman apparently panicked when she felt a hot casing land inside her shirt, when she and her fiance were target practicing.

A woman accidentally shot her fiance in the thigh at a gun range Saturday, when a hot casing landed inside her shirt, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said that the couple was with a large group of people target practicing at the Logue Road Gun Range. The unidentified woman was firing a Taurus Model 1911 .45, when a casing ejected and landed inside her shirt, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. She reacted to keep the hot casing off of her by bending over and trying to brush the casing out of her shirt. When she did, she unknowingly brought the firearm in and pointed it down at the victim's leg and accidentally discharged another round.
