This family event has free admission and showcases rescue horses from out West.
One of the adantages to living in southwest Florida is access to rural, Old Florida places and events, such as today's free open house today at Sixteen Hands Horse Sanctuary. The nonprofit is hosting its 2nd Annual Open House at 712 Roy Moore Rd, at the Manatee County line. See James Malcolm, one of the trainers, work with Chevy, a rescue and wild mustang from out West and several other horses. This one-of-a-kind event lets people see up close wild horses rescued from western states, where they abused, neglected or designated to be slaughtered.
