Tampa Bay-Made 'Spring Breakers' In Theaters This Weekend
The edgy film 'Spring Breakers' made in Sarasota, Tampa Bay won't be screened in Bradenton.
The naughty Spring Breakers film is out, ready for Tampa Bay to be shocked and awed, unless you're in Bradenton. Bradenton movie theaters Carmike Royal Palm 20 and Regal Cinemas Oakmont 8 both took a pass on the regionally made movie with blockbuster stars. So if you want to see it, it's either a trip to Sarasota or St. Pete. The film was made with interior scenes at Ringling College of Art and Design residences and mostly filmed in St. Pete Beach and Tampa Bay with plenty of nude scenes, drugs guns and Disney starlets gone bad in this R-rated feature.
