The only ones that got to enjoy the boat parade were the ones on the Palmetto side of the river. The boats, other than the first three, never came to the Bradenton side of the river. Most of the people around us left early, many like my family will not return next year.   more ›

Well, there are a number of activities going on Dec. 8 that don’t normally occur.  Volunteers will be leading guided tours, filling guests in on the history and inner workings of Southeastern.  While readers of this column have gotten an inside look at what Southeastern does, the tour will give you a chance to put it all together and see the training grounds and kennels for yourself. You’ll also get the chance to interact with the …

The county park boasted a field of man-made snow a rare treat in Florida. In addition, there were plenty of booths, and places for kids to play. But Santa was definitely the star of the show.

Track Santa On His Journey To Bradenton

NORAD is following Father Christmas' travels today online.

Santa Claus is coming to town, and NORAD can prove it. The North American Aerospace Defense Command is charged with keeping the United States and Canada safe from dangers originating from the sky or space. But tonight, the Colorado-based government agency is tracking The Big Man's progress as he makes his way to Bradenton and beyond. You can follow along on the Official Santa Tracker that marks his every move today as he travels across both hemispheres. He was already hitting up Australia at about 10:30am EST and should be making his way to the Friendly City later this evening -- at least for those who've been nice this year. Included on the site is a countdown and activity page and a flight tracking system for those who just can't wait to…
