Purses Snatched at Hooters in Bradenton

Two women had their purses stolen by a man who approached them as they dined outside the restaurant Sunday night, authorities said.

Two women had their purses stolen as they were dining outside at Hooters in Bradenton on Sunday night, authorities reported. The two women, both in their 20s, were sitting at a table on the outdoor patio of the restaurant, at 4908 14th St. W., around 9 p.m. Sunday with their purses sitting on a railing next to them, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. An unknown suspect approached and grabbed the purses, according to a report. One of the victims grabbed her purse, "but the suspect overpowered her and snatched the purse from her hands," the report states. If they were carrying (assuming they had concealed carry licenses) and left their purses sitting on a rail with firearms inside, then they would be violating the law and should have their concealed carry license revoked and face legal consequences. Two Stabbed During Robbery Attempt at Lakewood Ranch Apartments

A resident and a neighbor who came to his aid both suffered superficial stab wounds, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Two men suffered stab wounds during a robbery attempt outside a Lakewood Ranch apartment complex Monday night, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. Deputies were called to Lost Creek Apartments, 11160 Lost Creek Ter., around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, where a resident told them he had been followed to his apartment by two men who confronted him in the parking lot and demanded money. When the victim told them he didn't have any money, the two men attempted to take his motorized scooter, deputies said. When he ran, the two men followed him and a struggle ensued, with the victim suffering a superficial stab wound in his hand. Alleged Convenience Store Robber Nabbed By Deputies

The man confessed to grabbing a small amount of cash from the register at a southern Manatee 7-Eleven and is responsible for a similar crime at a Bradenton Circle K, authorities said.

Updated, 9:39 a.m.: A man was arrested just hours after authorities say he grabbed cash from the drawer at two Manatee County convenience stores Friday. The suspect entered the 7-Eleven at 224 Pearl Ave. in southern Manatee some time around 12:45 a.m. Friday, walked to the back of the store to select a drink from the cooler, then went to the cashier as if to purchase it, Manatee County Sheriff's deputies said. Police: Man With Knife Threatened to Kill Elderly Woman at Walmart

Bradenton Police say the man threatened the 82-year-old victim with a knife and robbed her purse Wednesday night in the Walmart parking lot.

Bradenton Police are searching for a man accused of robbing an elderly woman at knifepoint and threatening to kill her in a Walmart parking lot, authorities said Thursday. The 82-year-old victim was loading groceries into her car in the parking lot of Walmart, 5315 Cortez Rd. W., around 8:35 p.m. Wednesday when the suspect threatened her with a knife, stating, "Give me your purse, or I'll kill you," according to a police spokesperson. After the woman handed over her purse, the man ran into an awaiting vehicle and took off, police said. The woman did not require medical attention. Woman's Purse Stolen While Collecting Cans For Money

The suspect was last seen on 59th Avenue East in Bradenton.

Manatee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who took a woman's purse on Wednesday night along the 300 block of 59th Avenue East in Bradenton. The woman walked along 59th Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday collecting cans to cash in for recycling when a man approached her, pushed her from behind to the ground, causing her eyeglasses to break, according to the sheriff's office. The man grabbed her black purse and fled from the scene, according to the sheriff's office. The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall black male wearing a black hoddie and black pants, according to the sheriff's office.

Man Punched and Robbed While Walking on 27th Ave. E., Deputies Say

The man was walking in the 3500 block of 27th Avenue East in Bradenton early Saturday morning when he was approached by the three men, one of whom punched him in the face, and had his wallet and keys stolen, authorities said.

A man had his keys and wallet stolen early Saturday morning in Bradenton after he was approached by three men, one of whom punched him in the face, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports. The victim, a 28-year-old man, was walking south in the 3500 block of 27th Avenue East around 3:20 a.m. when the three men approached him from the other direction, according to a media release. "One of the suspects punched the victim in the right side of his face knocking him to the ground," the release states. The suspects took the man's keys and wallet and fled on foot to the north. Deputies Need Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

This man was caught on camera just before jumping the counter at the Walgreens pharmacy to steal drugs.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help identify a man who robbed Walgreens pharmacy, 6003 14th St. W. at 10:15 p.m. Monday. A security camera captured two images of a man who jumped the counter and demanded pills from the pharmacist. He escaped with an undisclosed number of pills. He was last seen running from the store. The sheriff's office released the photos this afternoon. The suspect is described as a white man 5-feet-8-inches tall, 150 pounds, in his mid 20’s with medium length dirty blond hair, according to a report from the sheriff's office. Deputies Ask For Help In Identifying Robbery Suspect

Manatee County deputies are releasing photos of a suspect who used a Taser to rob a Circle K on July 3, stealing just $50 and before using the Taser on the clerk. Deputies are hoping someone will recognize the man in the photos and call them with information. The man came into the store at 7502 55th Ave. E. wearing a purple bandana around his face. He went directly behind the counter and up to the store clerk and demanded the money in the register. Man Robs Circle K and Tasers Clerk

The man came into the store at 7502 55th Ave. E. wearing a purple bandana around his face. He went directly behind the counter and up to the store clerk and demanded the money in the register. The clerk took the $50 in the resigster and put it in a Circle K bag and handed it to the suspect who took the money.  Then for no apparent reason, the suspect tasered the clerk in the left hand, left forearm and left side.
