The city has scheduled the following road closing to allow for work on a new water service.

Continuing downtown FDOT road project will force temporary closure starting Monday.
A portion of Third Street West will be temporarily closed off to traffic for about two weeks starting Monday, according to a news release. The street will be closed to the north of Manatee Avenue (State Road 64) to Third Avenue West so crews can install a new water line. The temporary closure is expected to last through Feb. 4. Business access during the closure will be available from Third Avenue West and Seventh Street West. The closure is part of a major Florida Department of Transportation project to improve Manatee Avenue between 12th Street East to 15th Street West, the release said.
