This week's adoptable dog is Benjamin, a brown and black merle hound mix. Benjamin (ID# A053251) is a 2-year-old neutered male who loves to play ball and run in the yard. He is sweet and friendly with warm brown eyes. He has a sweet disposition and calm manner. Benjamin has been with Manatee County Animal Services since Oct. 27 when his family dropped him off at the shelter. He is ready to go home to a loving family. This week's adoptable dog is Yade, a Golden Retreiver puppy. Yade is a 5-month-old spayed female who is loving, playful and full of energy. She loves to snuggle and is full of playful puppy energy. She has been with Manatee County Animal Services since August 14, when she was picked up as a stray. You can visit Yade at the county's downtown adoption center today. During the month of August, dogs are available for $80 and cats for $60. Some animals are available for the $10 license fee. Cinder — short for Cinderella — is a storybook dog, or at least she could be if she finds her happily ever after. The American Staffordshire Terrier mix is a sweet girl who hasn't been treated well. Manatee County Animal Services was called out to come get her after she was found in an abandonded home. She had burns on her head and body and was covered with flea and bug bites. She was a bedraggled mess. She was taken to the county's Palmetto facility where she was treated for her wounds. She quickly became a favorite with volunteers for her sweet disposition. She loves people and gets along well with the other dogs and even seems to like cats. She sits still for a bath and seems to enjoy the attention that accompanies a bath. She's a …
