President Barack Obama's rally was held this morning in Centennial Park.

After cheers from the crowd, he took the stage around 9 a.m., first thanking Tampa Bay residents for getting up early this morning to see him. Then, he joked about casting his own ballot later today. "I'm going to stop in Chicago, and do some early voting in Chicago," Obama said. "I can't tell you who I'm voting for. It's a secret ballot. Michelle (Obama) said she's voting for me." He moved on to address more serious matters during the "America Forward!" grassroots rally, talking about the importance of trust. He spoke between chants of "Four…

President Barack Obama spoke at Hillsborough Community College, urging Democrats to "do their part" in helping him get re-elected.

The battle for Tampa Bay's voters heated up Friday as President Barack Obama came to town to talk about his second run at the White House and the future of the nation. "Tampa, it's up to you," Obama said. "The other side is going to spend more money than we've ever seen on ad after ad with scary voices and me looking old and broken down, but I need you to still believe in me." He drew a laugh from the crowd when a crash of thunder hit while he attempted to discredit Romney's policies. "See?" the president said. Obama made a stop at Hillsborough Community College's Dale Mabry campus in Tampa for a Friday afternoon appearance. If you waited to get tickets to see President Barack Obama at Hillsborough Community College Friday, you're out of luck. Obama's Florida campaign said Wednesday that the free tickets were snatched up in less than five hours, when they were made available Tuesday. People flooded the four Tampa Bay-area Obama For America offices where tickets were handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis Tuesday. Even some Republicans got in on the action, like Scott Goldston, who joined his wife and daughter in line at the Obama campaign office in Riverview. "I'm a Republican, I voted for Obama last time," Goldston told Brandon Patch. "I just wanted to hear him talk, to see if I wanted to vote for him again." The free tickets were also handed out at …
