Judy The Parade Elephant Returns For Beach Bistro St. Patrick's Day Parade

14th annual Beach Bistro St. Patrick's Day Parade aims to provide laughs with your drinks.

Holmes Beach is home to a St. Patrick's Day parade like no other thanks to the Beach Bistro. What first started as two Irish guys spitballin' in a bar, turned into a full fledged parade with an elephant, camel in a matter of two days back in 1999. And it's now in its 14th year. The parade starts at 4 p.m. Sunday, kicking off at Holmes Beach City Hall, 5801 Marina Drive, and ends on North Palm Drive and 78th Street. Parade participants should gather at 2 p.m. at City Hall. Beach Bistro bar manager Fred Sullivan is credited to being one of the creative geniuses of the annual event hatched at the Sean Murphy-owned restaurant. Beach Bistro, Eat Here Provide Dining Getaways During NHL Lockout

Beach Bistro and Eat Here offer a touch of Canada, adventure and generous portions of hospitality on Anna Maria Island and in Sarasota.

During this owner's lockout in the National Hockey League I've got my hockey fix in a few ways including playing, but I miss the feeling of going to a hockey friendly bar or restaurant before a Tampa Bay Lightning game.  First, know this about me. I am not Canadian. I grew up in Maryland and embrace polite people with a sense of humor, but I've also played ice hockey since I was 13 and to me, there's no better sport even if I can only muck it up in a beer league today. But my love for the game goes beyond that, reading plently of hockey history and having enjoyed a couple trips to Vancouver and Toronto. You know who is Canadian?
