After brandishing a handgun and demanding money, the suspect fled on foot.
The Lucky Leprechaun Gold and Pawn Shop was robbed on Friday afternoon after a man entered the establishment, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. According to the police report, a black male entered the premises, located at 4804 Manatee Ave. W., at approximately 3:00 p.m. A conversation ensued, at which time the man pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then demanded the clerk, identified as 55-year-old shop owner lay on the floor, at which time the suspect took two handguns and money. Authorities are looking for a man who they say robbed a Bradenton gold and pawn shop Friday afternoon, making off with two handguns and money. The owner of Lucky Leprechaun Gold and Pawn Shop, 4804 Manatee Ave. W., told deputies a man came into the business around 3 p.m. Friday. They began a conversation, then the man pulled out a handgun and demanded money, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report. The mother and her children, ages 2 and 7, were threatened by two armed men they found robbing their home when they returned from church, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports.
A Bradenton mother and her two young children came home from church to find their home being robbed by two masked men at gunpoint Wednesday night, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reports. The woman and children, ages 2 and 7, were grabbed and threatened by the suspects, one of whom pointed a gun at them and "demanded that they be given everything and told them if they didn't get everything they would kill the kids," according to a sheriff's report. The two men grabbed items from the 33-year-old woman, took things from the home in the 600 block of 58th Avenue Drive West and fled out the back door, deputies said. The armed robbery comes just days after the Waffle Shop next door was also robbed at gunpoint, according to authorities.
Updated, 6:28 p.m.: Authorities say Friday's incident may be connected to an April 16 attempted robbery at another McDonald's in Bradenton and released a surveillance photo from that case (see attached). An armed man robbed a Waffle House early Wednesday in Bradenton, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said. The suspect entered the restaurant, at 603 67th St. Cir. E. — near Interstate 75 and East State Road 64 — around 12:47 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money from the register, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. The suspect, who was about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, wore black clothing and a black T-shirt covering his face, and he was brandishing a firearm, witnesses said. Suspects forced man inside his apartment at gunpoint.
Manatee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two suspects who broke into a 5th Street East apartment Tuesday night and held a man at gunpoint. Deputies responded at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday to the 3800 block of 5th Street East in Bradenton for an armed home invasion where a two men confronted the victim outside his apartment, then forced the victim inside the apartment at gunpoint while the suspects searched the apartment, according to the sheriff's office. Three suspects in a black Honda Accord robbed two men Saturday on 21st Way East.
It's bad enough to have to change a flat tire in the middle of the night, but it's even worse when someone is robbed at gunpoint while doing it. Two men found that out at 1:30 a.m. Saturday when they stopped on the 5000-block of 21st Way East in Bradenton to change their flat tire, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. A man wanted in connection with a Jan. 20 fatal shooting in Bradenton has been arrested in Ohio, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday. Charles Jones, 29, was arrested Monday night in the Cincinnati area by U.S. Marshals, according to a news release. He will be brought back to Manatee County to face charges of felony murder and armed robbery. Deputies are searching for an armed robbery suspect who forced a clerk standing outside Smuggler's Cove into the miniature golf center's office, telling her to empty the cash register. Fortunately for detectives the office in Smuggler's Cove has surveillance cameras. Deputies are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call them. Four suspects broke into a house to rob residents, one of them pointed a gun at a 2-month-old when the residents said they had nothing to steal.
Three men and a woman broke into a Bradenton home Wednesday night filled with teens and an infant in a robbery attempt and pointed a gun at the 2-month-old baby when the family said they had no money to steal. The baby, a 16-year-old and two 18-year-olds were at home with Kevin Litwin, 46, at 6207 Columbia Drive when they heard a loud knock on the door shortly before 11 p.m. James Litwin, 18, answered the door and the four suspects shoved their way into the house.
