Red Barn Flea Market

Flag as Inappropriate

The Red Barn Flea Market was founded by Carl Shepard in 1985, and bills itself as "The World Headquarters for Nice People." It's certainly a center for local small businesses. Among the businesses inside the Red Barn are jewelers, restaurants, used bookstores, tailors, a bakery, a computer company, a real estate agency, and dozens of specialty shops. The Red Barn also serves as a farmers' market. Look for the booths outside the building, along the north and east sides.

While most of the Red Barn is only open on weekends, businesses in their plaza area are open Tuesday through Sunday. The plaza consists of the exterior row of stores, the market's office, and the first row of stores inside the building. Furthermore, the market's ATM is located in this area, close to the main entrance. You may need it. While most businesses here accept major credit cards and debit cards, a few only accept cash.

The Red Barn provides a handy directory of the market's vendors, so that people don't have to waste time wandering around. Directories are available near each of the many entrances to the building.

Finally, if you're interested in becoming a vendor here, booths and storefronts may be rented for reasonable rates on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The "payment types" section of this listing is intended to apply to these rentals. For more information, see this link: http://www.redbarnfleamarket.com/vendor/vendor_information.aspx
