Buyer beware! If you have insurance with a deductible , you will pay substantially more than if you pay cash. After a recent visit in October I noticed the pricing board in the front office listed an office visit at $90.00 . Imagine my surprise when I received my bill through my insurance that I was actually charged $210.00 that was repriced down to $130.00. When I called to ask why I was charged so much more for the same visit as a cash customer, their response was " it was at the bottom of the paper you signed stating you have the option to pay cash." They failed to state the cash charge is substantially less than your insurance charge for the same level of service! What a rip off in these tough economic times. My money will no longer be going to Lakewood Ranch Urgent Care. We pay for insurance ourselves. I feel they are taking advantage of those who are responsible enough to carry it.

Absolutely horrible...where do I start? The wait was long, but that was expected. The staff forgetting to run routine tests before throwing away a urine sample was forgivable. The x-ray tech talking about whether my wife's breasts were real or fake was ridiculous. Then the PA telling my wife she was fine and didn't need to do anything, that was horrendous. I suppose it wouldn't have been too bad, other than the fact that she was having a bilateral pulmonary embolism and could have died if we didn't go to the ER later on our own. You've been warned!
