Ball Park Deli & Sub Shop
941-749-0345
An old-fashioned, baseball-themed deli, the shop, founded in 1988 is located across the street from McKechnie Field, the spring training home of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Class A Bradenton Marauders. Menu items carry names such as The "Babe," Hammerin' Hank, Joltin' Joe, Third Base and Center Field. The homemade bread, delivered daily from a bakery in Largo (one hour from Bradenton), is tossed away at the end of the day because it has no preservatives. The most popular item is the Cuban – a shop employee said she sells about 150 Cubans daily.
