Goodwill Honors 21 With President's Volunteer Award

Goodwill Manasota has awarded all twenty one of their board members with the President’s Volunteer Service Award, who have contributed more than 500 hours of service to our community in 2012.

GOODWILL HONORS TWENTY ONE WITH PRESIDENT’S VOLUNTEER AWARD

Award is a Prestigious National Honor of Volunteer Service

Goodwill Manasota has awarded all twenty one of their board members with the President’s Volunteer Service Award.   This award is a national honor, and is being bestowed in recognition of each person contributing more than 500 hours of service to our community in 2012.  

Awardees are:

 David Bassett, Steve Boone, Ed Chiles, Marlow Cook, Peter Crowley, Debbie Douglas, Rick Fawley, Andy Gregory, W. Stuart Gregory, Bill Isaac , Don Lawson, Charlie Lenger , Art McClellan , John McKay, Bob Morris , Rob Morris , Drayton Saunders, Clifford Walters , Dr. Willie Holley, Johnny Hunter, Sr., and John Patterson.

Goodwill Manasota is extremely proud to join the President Obama in recognizing the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others,” said Bob Rosinsky, President of Goodwill Manasota.  “Volunteers strengthen our community and inspire others to get involved.  We are proud to recognize these leaders with this prestigious volunteer award and more importantly, we are especially proud of our members who have made volunteer service a central part of their lives.”

The President’s Volunteer Service Award was established in 2003, and is available on an annual basis to individuals, groups, and families who have met or exceeded requirements for volunteer service, and have demonstrated exemplary citizenship through volunteering.  The Award is issued by the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation, which was specifically created to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making to our Nation.
