Week Ahead: Dragons, Wizard of Oz and More...

Here are five things we thought you might want to check out this week!

Imagine Dragons on Stage:
Can’t get enough of this "Radioactive" group on the radio? You’re in luck! They’re bringing their brand of alternative music to the USF Sundome on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $34.50.

Extra Work for the Holidays: Bay area residents hoping to pick up some extra work to cover holiday expenses might want to start looking a little early. Some retailers are planning to scale back their hiring, according to The Tampa Tribune. Know of seasonal jobs in the area? Tell others by commenting below!

Go Off to See the Wizard: Want to see “The Wizard of Oz” on the big screen instead of television? Check out local AMC theaters for a limited-run showing of the flick in 3D on IMAX screens. Several Tampa Bay area locations, including Tampa and Sarasota, are screening the classic this month. For show times, visit the AMC website for locations and details.

Guavaween Around the Corner: Here’s one to put on your calendar. The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is playing host to the 28th Guavaween celebration Oct. 26. The scaled-back version of the event includes a costume contest and other festivities, but runs again this year without the infamous night parade. Visit the chamber online for more details about the more family friendly version of the annual Halloween bash.

More Rain in the Forecast: Hoping for blue skies and sunshine this week? While we might see some, forecasters at the National Weather Service also say Bay area residents should count on some rain. Chances for storms are especially high on Monday and Tuesday.
