People and animals have a lot in common. They all want to be needed and appreciated and they all want a friend. Prospect Riding Center has a recent addition to the ranch. His name is Max and he is a miniature horse. Because of his small stature Max has to be in a different pasture than the rest of the herd and it's sad because he just wants to play and make new friends. Max is now sharing a pasture with a mare named Belle. She tolerates Max but pretty much ignores him like a big sister would a little brother. One day when Belle was being used for lessons Max just cried and cried for Belle. He didn't want to be away from her even though she acts like she doesn't like him. He was so happy when she returned to keep him company. It just goes to show that even when you're a little different it may take time to make new friends, but it will happen.it can be a slow process for animals and people alike and sooner or later you will make a friend at PRC just like Max.
