Bradenton Tapped for Florida State League All-Star Game
This will mark the first time that Bradenton will host the competition in its 55-year history.
Bradenton's McKechnie Field will host the 53rd annual Florida State League (FSL) All-Star Game.
The game will be played in June 2014, the Bradenton Marauders announced.
The game will mark the first time that the game is played in Bradenton. Top players in the FSL South compete against all stars from the FSL North. The 2013 game was played in Dunedin last Saturday.
It should not be surprising that Bradenton will host the game. Marauders shortstop Alen Hanson was just named MVP in the FSL South's 8-1 win at the 2013 game. Previously, Aaron Baker won the award in 2011.
