Third School Administrator Suspended

Debra A. Horne, 50, assistant principal at R. H. Prine Elementary, has been placed on leave in connection to the Rod Frazier case.

A former schools investigator is the latest Manatee County administrator to be placed on paid leave in connection to the district's internal review of a former football coach accused of inappropriately touching students.

Debra A. Horne, 50, assistant principal at R. H. Prine Elementary has been placed on leave in connection to her previous role in the Office of Professional Standards, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Horne was ordered Tuesday to go on paid leave as the Manatee County School District conducts an internal investigation into allegations of improper conduct against Rod Frazier, a former assistant football coach at Manatee High.

Assistant Superintendent Bob Gagnon and staff attorney Scott Martin already have been placed on paid leave. 

A criminal case against Frazier is before the state Attorney General's Office.

According to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune:

"The state is still deciding whether to charge Horne, Gagnon and former Manatee High assistant principals Matthew Kane and Gregg Faller with failure to report child abuse and lying to police."
