What Should Replace These Bradenton Sweetbay Supermarkets?

The grocery chain closed two of its Bradenton locations this week. Will you miss them? What businesses should take their place?

Now that two Sweetbay Supermarkets in Bradenton have closed because of what the company called underwhelming sales, what do you think should replace them?

Two local Sweetbay locations closed their doors this week:

  • 5201 33rd St. E
  • 8750 State Road 70 E.

Will you miss them? What should take their place?

We asked our fans on Bradenton Patch's Facebook page, and they had several suggestions.

Arthur Roosa said he'd like to see "another kind of 'no-frills' grocery store that can compete with Wally-World price wise!"

"Indoor paintball or lasertag facility," posted Lenny Cichewicz.

"Oh I'd love to see Albertson's come back in full force!" April Joy Warenchak commented. "Miss them here in Palmetto!"

Now we want to hear from you. Post a comment below and let us know what businesses you'd like to see come to Bradenton.

A Trader Joe's on SR70 would be outstanding!
