Parent Info Lines Offer Back-to-School Help

The phone line opens at 8 a.m., Aug. 7, to answer questions about a range of issues, from school registration to bus stop locations.

A special Parent Information Phone Line to help parents with back-to-school questions will be available beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7.

The phone number is (941) 708-4971; the number for bus transportation is (941) 782-1BUS (782-1287).

The purpose of the Parent Information Phone Line is to answer questions about registration, school zones, bus stop locations and times, home education and other queries at the beginning of a new school year.

The Parent Information Phone Line answered thousands of calls last year, and this year’s phone bank is expecting another strong surge of calls leading up to the start of school.

The General Parent Information Phone Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 7-23.

The Transportation Parent Information Phone Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Aug. 7-17, and from 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 20-22.

Manatee District students begin the 2012-2013 school year on Aug. 20.
