Manatee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a couple of suspects who opened fire on two people sitting in a driveway early Saturday morning.

Cedrick Presha and Christopher Strong were sitting in the driveway at 2113 56th Terrace East around 12:05 a.m. when a silver vehicle pulled up and gunshots rang out, according to investigators.

Presha and Strong jumped over a neighbor's fence and into the backyard as another suspect got out of the vehicle and continued to spray bullets in the area before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Bullet casings were found around the house. A bullet was found in the garage, the neighbor's fence and several bullet holes pocked an SUV parked in the driveway, according to investigators.

Presha and Strong ran from the house and were found near the 2400 block of State Road 70 East, according to investigators. Presha and Strong did not cooperate with investigators, deputies said.

Presha was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Strong was arrested and charged with violation of probation and possession of marijuana, according to investigators. A bullet wound in Strong's buttocks was discovered while at the sheriff's station. He was taken to the hospital, and then to jail.
