4 Kids Suffer Minor Injuries in Crash With Sheriff's Deputy

The deputy was not injured, and the crash is under investigation.

Four children suffered minor injuries when a van transporting them to an after-school program was involved in a crash with a Manatee County Sheriff's Office deputy Wednesday afternoon. 

According to the sheriff's report, the deputy was in a marked sheriff's office vehicle when the crashed occurred around 4 p.m. in the 6100 block of 15th Street East.

Four of the children in the van suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons, authorities said.
