Police: Man Attacks, Stabs Ex-Girlfriend in Bradenton; Flees

The sheriff's department is asking for the public's help in tracking down a man wanted for attempted murder charges.

The following is a news release from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office: 


On November 17, at approximately 3:30 a.m., deputies responded  to a Domestic Battery in the 6000 block of 11th St Ct. E.,  Bradenton. The victim... was attacked by her former boyfriend and father of her child, German Vasquez, [31-years-old]. 

Vasquez was supposed to be meeting [her] to drop off their child. An argument ensued and Vasquez became physical with [her]. He began punching her and swinging a knife and her causing several lacerations. 

Vasquez fled the scene while [the woman] was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Vasquez for Attempted Murder.
