Ice Cream Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Bradenton

The two men reportedly held a gun to the ice cream man in East Bradenton and took an unknown amount of his supply.

Authorities are searching for two shirtless men they say robbed an ice cream cart around 8:30 p.m. on Monday in east Bradenton,

The victim, rides around town selling ice cream from a custom tricycle with an attached cooler, according to the report. 

He was riding along the 1700 block of 32nd Avenue East when he was approached by two males who asked to buy some of his ice cream, the report states. The victim got off his bike and opened the freezer when one of the males reportedly put a gun to his abdomen.

The victim swung around with elbows up, knocking one of the suspects off balance, the report said. However, the males stole some of the ice cream and fled on foot.

The suspects are described as two black males approximately 6 feet tall, ages 18 to 23. They were shirtless but wearing black shorts, according to the report. One of them had white shoes while the other was wearing black shoes, the report said. One of the men was carrying a white tank top.
