Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Along 15th Street East

The 52-year-old Bradenton woman was killed while crossing the street this morning. State troopers are looking for the dark colored sedan that left the scene.

A 52-year-old Bradenton woman was killed in a hit and run accident shortly before 6:30 this morning and troopers are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of the sedan who hit her.

Teresa L. Kidd was crossing the southbound lane on 15th Street East when a dark colored sedan struck her and left the scene, accoding to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The sedan was traveling south on 15th Street East approaching the intersection of Magellan Drive. Kidd was standing on the west shoulder of 15th St E at a driveway access to 6630 15th St. East. Kidd apparently didn't see the sedan and tried to cross the southbound lane.

The sedan hit Kidd and was last seen traveling sounth on 15th Street East. Troopers don't have any other information about the vehicle or the driver. They are asking anyone with information to contact Trooper Todd Bergman or Cpl. Ronnie Highsmith at (239) 938-1800.
