Men Robbed After McDonalds Double Date

The two victims were asked back to the home of two women, where masked gunmen robbed them of money and jewelry then stole their car.

Authorities are searching for five suspects, two women and three men, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the 3400 block of 43rd Terrace East in in Bradenton Early Monday morning.

The victims said they met two females at El Paisano, a restaurant and bar located at 5803 15th St. E., Bradenton. The women invited them to eat with them at McDonalds, then gave them directions to their house on 43rd Terrace. 

When the men arrived at the home, they were instructed to go around the back of the house and go inside, a report states. As they approached the rear of the residence, three masked gunmen wearing gloves demanded their money in Spanish. Two of the men were armed with assault rifles while the other wielded a Spanish pistol.

They took about $500 cash from the victims, along with $1300 in jewelry, keys and a cell phone. One of the victims was struck in the mouth with a riffle when he tried to struggle with the men, a report said.

The victims fled on foot while the masked gunmen took off in the victim’s Ford F150. The two women were driving a dark colored Ford Expedition with Texas plates, a report states.

One of the women is described as Hispanic with black hair, she reportedly had a tattoo of a sun on her left shoulder. She was last seen wearing black pants and a green shirt. The other woman was also described as Hispanic with blond hair and a tattoo of unknown lettering on her arm. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.

The stolen pickup truck was later found abandoned on the 4700 block of 30th Street East and was returned to the victim, the report said.
