Man Urinates On Lawn, Woman Tries to Steal Wallet in Robbery Gone Awry

Investigators are looking for a man and woman suspected of attempted armed robbery Sunday afternoon.

A man urinated in a front yard while a woman tried to steal a homeowner's wallet and cell phone Sunday afternoon, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

Joseph Grim noticed a red car with a faded roof, possibly a Pontiac, block his driveway in the 5500 block of 34th Court E around 4:05 p.m., according to investigators.

A bald, white man about 6-feet tall with multiple tattoos on his arms and head got out of the driver's side of the car and started urinating in Grim's front yard.

When Grim walked outside a 5-foot, 6-inch woman with long hair asked him for $10 for gas, according to investigators. Grim said he did not have any money for gas. That is when the woman started patting him down, looking for his wallet, investigators said.

Grim tried using his cell phone to call 911 however the woman grabbed at it, trying to take it away. The woman scratched Grim on his arm during the struggle before fleeing the area.

The man was wearing blue jean shorts and no shirt. The woman was wearing blue jean shorts and a red tank top.

The couple are suspected of attempted strong arm robbery.
