Man Tries to Use Skateboard as Deadly Weapon

The 34-year-old suspect threatened to hit a man and his pregnant wife with the skateboard.

A 34-year-old Sarasota man has been charged with using his skateboard as a deadly weapon.

Jacob Glansnovich lifted his skateboard over his head and threatened to strike a man and his pregnant wife at the Riverfront skate park, 105 1st St. E., Bradenton, authorities said.

According to the Bradenton Herald, Glansnovich made the threat after the victims' dog started barking at skateboarders and the male victim held the dog to calm him down. Glansnovich said he did not like how the victim was holding his dog.

According to the victims, Glansnovich became irate, lifted his skateboard over his head and threatened to hit the man and then his pregnant wife, who rushed over.

Although Glansnovich fled the area before deputies arrived, he was spotted, identified and arrested.
