Detectives Searching for Suspects in Murder

A 49-year-old man was stabbed to death shortly before 6 a.m. today

A 49-yeaqr-old Bradenton man was stabbed to death early this morning in the 900 block of 61st Avenue Circle East as he was leaving for work.

The Manatee Sheriff's Office responded to a stabbing at 919 61st Ave Cir E.  at 5:57 a.m. and found Juan Santiago Reyes-Tapia unresponsive. Deputy Parrish started CPR that was maintained until relieved by EMS. 

Two suspects approached Reyes-Tapia as he was leaving for work, according to the sheriff's report. Deputies believe there was an argument before the suspect stabbed Reyes-Tapia in the chest.  The suspects fled westbound on 61st Avenue Circle East. Reyes-Tapia was taken to Blake Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

Deputies could not locate the suspects. They are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the murder to call the sheriff's office
