Bradenton Prostitution Sting Nets Nine Arrests

Nine people were arrested and five motor vehicles seized Thursday as a result of an undercover prostitution operation conducted by the Bradenton Police Department.

On Thursday, undercover detects from the Bradenton Police Department dressed as prostitutes and picked up several residents throughout the city that were in turn arrested on solicitation charges.

The undercover sting netted nine arrests of individuals for allegedly attempting to procure the services of the undercover cops for prostitution and other lewd acts.

The following people were arrested during the sting:

  • Carlos Riviera-Martinez, 48. Charges: solicitation of prostitution and driving without a valid license.
  • David Benitez, 22. Charge: solicitation of prostitution
  • Alvaro Aguilera-Reyes, 54. Charge: solicitation of Prostitution
  • Jay C. Ammond, 43. Charge: solicitation of prostitution and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
  • Luis Balderas, 31. Charge: solicitation of prostitution.
  • Nolan Woods, 30. Charge: solicitation of prostitution.
  • Richard Williams, 41. Charge: solicitation of prostitution.
  • Serioli Tamayo, 50. Charge: solicitation of prostitution.
  • Jorge Hernandez, 32. Charge: solicitation of prostitution.

The BPD also seized five motor vehicles during the operation. Warren Merrimen, spokesperson for the BPD, said the department will continue the city-wide enforcement in an effort to prevent the illegal act from occurring.
