Body Found by Couple Out Taking a Walk

A couple was taking an early morning walk when they made a gruesome discovery.

A couple out for their regular early morning walk in Palmetto early Thursday made a grisly discovery. They spotted a woman's body in the 2900 block of 24th Ave. East.

The Manatee County Sheriff's Department responded to a call at 6:20 a.m. Thursday. Investigators said the body showed signs of "trauma." They are on the scene now. Stay tuned to Patch for details.
