Representative Ray Pilon will host a campaign kickoff fundraiser on Wednesday, September 18th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at Gold Coast Eagle Distributing in Lakewood Ranch.
The event is open to the public and campaign donations can be made at the door or in advance to Ray Pilon Campaign, PO Box 49362, Sarasota, FL 34230. The maximum donations allowable is $500 per person or corporate entity.
Pilon is seeking re-election to the District 72 seat, which includes large portions of northern Sarasota County, in the Nov. 2014 general election.
The Republican legislator from Sarasota was first elected to the Florida House in 2010 and currently serves as Vice Chair of both the Criminal Justice Subcommittee and Local & Federal Affairs Committee. He also serves on the Agriculture & Natural Resources Subcommittee, Judiciary Committee and Justice Appropriations Subcommittee. In addition, he is a strategic planning consultant and retired law enforcement officer.
